A first step has been taken towards visualization. The Graphical Warehouse Layout (GWL) has allowed the structure of a warehouse to be displayed in two-dimensional form in EWM since release 7.0. Any master-data errors within the warehouse structure can therefore be identified and corrected quickly.
The storage-location coordinates saved in the warehouse master data form the basis for the graphical representation. In addition to the storage locations, the GWL also allows display of other structural objects such as walls or offices, as well as process-relevant objects such as handling units, stackers, conveyor sections or storage and retrieval machines. The Graphical Warehouse Layout therefore makes it possible to track processes visually but also to intervene in processes. In accordance with EWM's framework concept, the graphical warehouse layout's design and functions can be tailored and expanded to meet your specific requirements.
